Still Dealing With Low Back Pain After Months?

You've Cut Back on Training — And It's Not Getting Better:

Backing off your runs, skipping the gym, and icing it every night hasn't solved anything. Your back pain returns the moment you push again.

You've Tried PT Before — But Nothing Stuck:

Generic exercises, 20-minute sessions split between three patients, and a printout to take home. No real answers. No lasting results.

You're Starting to Wonder If This Is Just… Life Now:

The idea that you might have to accept this pain, modify your workouts forever, or give up the activities you love is genuinely terrifying — and completely unnecessary.

Why Boston Chooses Ripple for Low Back Pain PT

Ripple Physical Therapy South End was built for people who refuse to sit on the sidelines. Our cash-based, out-of-network model means no insurance company dictates your care — just you, your Doctor of Physical Therapy, and a plan built entirely around getting you back to the activities that define you.

  • 60-minute, 1-on-1 sessions with a Doctor of PT — every visit, no exceptions, no aides

  • All Ripple PTs are Dry Needling Certified, blending manual therapy, dry needling, and real gym work to fix the root cause

  • Take-home programming via the TrueCoach app so progress doesn't stop when your session ends

Three Steps Back to Doing What You Love

Create the Plan:

Your first session starts with a thorough assessment — movement screens, hands-on evaluation, and a real conversation about your goals. No guessing. No generic protocols. Just a clear diagnosis and a performance-focused plan built around you.

Execute the Plan:

Each 60-minute session combines manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, and progressive gym-based work to address the root cause of your pain and rebuild the strength and mobility to back it up.

Push It Again — Harder:

Recovery isn't the finish line. We take you beyond pain-free and into peak performance, with take-home programming through the TrueCoach app so you're ready to run longer, lift heavier, and ski harder than you did before.

Your Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know before your first session at Ripple Physical Therapy in Boston's South End.

Do you accept insurance?

Ripple operates as a cash-based, out-of-network practice — meaning no insurance company dictates the type, quantity, or duration of your care. Many patients receive partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. Our team will check your benefits for free and submit superbills directly to your insurer on your behalf, so you know exactly what to expect before you ever book.

What happens during my first session?

Your first session is 60 minutes, 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy — and it starts well before you arrive. You're welcome to book a free 15-minute phone consultation with our team first. In your initial visit, your PT will complete a full movement and functional assessment, discuss your goals in depth, and build a personalized plan of care. There's no rushing, no double-booking, and no handoff to an aide — ever.

How many sessions will I need?

Every patient is different, and your PT will give you an honest, individualized answer after your first session. Most patients with low back pain or sciatica see meaningful progress within 4–8 sessions. Vestibular conditions typically resolve within 5–10 sessions. Complex post-surgical cases may require more. Your plan is built around your goals — not a standard package — and can evolve as you progress.
